And as the outlets have attempted to challenge the labels, details on the amount of state funding they receive has sparked debate online over whether this impacts the credibility of the news.
Meanwhile, as the debates have unfolded, other information has emerged, exposing similar state funding to the organizations that help the news outlets frame the information. It has exposed the media industrial complex, and how layers of organizations are helping frame state narratives.
