In a new decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled 9–0 in a case involving the Fourth Amendment.
The unanimous decision was in favor of a woman who lost her son when a police officer killed him during a traffic stop. Now, the story itself comes with a lot of nuance, but the key takeaway is that the American citizen in this case (the mother) prevailed against the state, and that therefore, this unanimous Supreme Court decision expands all of our rights under the Fourth Amendment.
