The world slipped downward day by day because we allowed it to happen by not holding our ground and censoring ourselves. Facing attacks and remaining steadfast in the current cultural war is actually a lot easier than people think it is, according to Zuby, an independent rapper and author, and the guest of this Crossroads episode. The government, Big Tech, and social media play a big role in censorship, but the main factor here is people censoring themselves because they’re unwilling to say things that are objectively true. This behavior can influence others also, which leads to a “pandemic of cowardice” that’s been unfolding for the past 10 years. When it comes to common sense, Zuby encourages people to defend it and not be afraid of the repercussions of speaking out to state opinions or objective facts. We’re hearing more often that the world has gone crazy. When we ask ourselves how it got to this point, the answer is that we let it happen. People need to have the courage to stand up and say “no” when someone is trying to force something on them, be it a vaccine mandate, or addressing someone with made-up pronouns. “A silent majority is weak when faced with a vocal minority,” Zuby continues and points out that such tribulations can’t be overcome by remaining passive. If the minority is not afraid of saying opinions that are nonsensical, then, even more, should the majority not be afraid of expressing opinions that are sane? The situation today is not about empathy, compassion, tolerance, or helping people with certain conditions to fit in. Instead, it’s all about force and coercion. Zuby gives the example of an adult who identifies himself as a chicken, puts on a chicken costume, eats birdseed, and runs around clucking. He further explains that he finds it weird and doesn’t understand why a man would want to behave that way, but he supports his right to do it. The problem comes when one is forced to say this person is a chicken, and to treat and address him as a chicken. He further discusses freedom of religion, and freedom from religion. As a Christian, he has the right to his beliefs and the right to pray, but he does not have the right to force others to accept the Lord Jesus as their savior or force people to believe God exists under the threat of punishment or coercion or calling others names if they do not agree with his religious views. “We live in one of the most Godless time periods ever in the West, but one of the most religious,” Zuby continues, referring to the dogma from the past seen today in the form of pseudo-religions and secular ideologies. If centuries ago a person would call nonbelievers names, or use threats or violence to force others to convert, that person would have been considered a zealot, or an extremist. According to Zuby, many of the views and ideologies today were even shunned by liberals and progressives 10 to 15 years ago, such as allowing males to compete in female sports, or trying to force surgeries or hormone treatments on children. The conversation between host Joshua Phillip and Zuby points out how basic reality today is being called into question and we are experiencing an “inversion agenda.” Men are women, women are men, wrong is right, right is wrong, and morality is immorality, which is a very dangerous place for a society and culture to be in. The rapper reiterates his belief that not even more than 10 percent of the population is on board with these ideas, but he understands why people choose to self-censor. First, when those people follow how these ideologies infiltrate the institutions, schools, and movies while trying to warn of what is about to unfold, they sound like they’re crazy. Second, when the Covid-19 pandemic started, those who talked about not losing their freedoms and saw compliance for what it was, were called “conspiracy theorists,” “anti-vaxxers,” “grandma killers,” “pro-Covid,” and so on, and went through a lot of difficulties. Even so, Zuby believes that the power is in the people, and he believes that enforcing that power of deciding for yourself and holding your ground can be a bit scary in the beginning, but eventually becomes a very rewarding experience. Looking at history, we can observe that just because something is legal or mandated by the government doesn’t mean that it’s correct or moral. Zuby gives the example of the most heinous regimes that led to the deaths of hundreds of millions of people, such as Nazism, various forms of communism, or different totalitarian regimes that were all “legal.” Even more, those protesting against them were the ones breaking the law. One of the mistakes most people tend to make today is to believe history is over. They believe we’re done with wars and pandemics, and we’ve reached a level of advancement, but in actuality, history is still unfolding. Zuby makes this point by thinking of the people in the year 1910 that were morally sound when science was also booming, but none of them could imagine that there were going to be two catastrophic world wars and genocides coming very soon. The difference today is that we have better technology and access to history, so the rapper encourages us to investigate authoritarian regimes, examples of tyranny, and where things go wrong to learn from it. This way we won’t find ourselves following the same ideas again, such as putting the collective above the individual, sacrificing human beings for strange notions, turning against our friends, families, and neighbors, and going along with the government and media propaganda with no questions at all. Most importantly, he encourages everyone to think critically and have the courage to speak when seeing something that’s going wrong. The consequences of not speaking up are in the long term far more severe, continues Zuby, than the consequences of holding your ground. He wishes people would break away from their fears that are largely overblown, and think about the question “What type of world, culture, and society do you want your children to inherit?” This was a very needed discussion that made some very good points, and certainly could be continued in the future. The morality in our society is declining day by day, and we need to decide if we’ll be going along with the current and continue to contribute to the decline, or if we can break away from our fears and have the courage to support what is right. Commentary “We beat Pharma this year,” President Joe Biden told a Milwaukee audience on Sept. 5. The crowd roared its approval. “And it mattered,” the president said. “We’re going to change people’s lives.” But as anyone who has watched Wall Street during the past 18 months knows, the pharmaceutical industry enjoyed a historic year, especially the manufacturers of the United States’ two main COVID-19 vaccines. Moderna forecasts earnings of $21 billion in 2022 for sales of its COVID-19 vaccine, while Pfizer predicts it’s on course to make $32 billion from its coronavirus shots. But something really did change American lives during the first half of Biden’s term. Each year, Big Pharma spreads hundreds of millions of dollars around the halls of Congress on both sides of the aisle to keep all of Washington aligned with its interests. And the industry spends billions annually on advertising that ensures friendly coverage from a media starved for revenue. But thanks to the Biden White House, Big Pharma learned that all it really needs is a president who’s willing to mandate its products. It’s like having the key to Fort Knox. Sure, there are a few more moving parts, but given the power of the federal government, it isn’t hard to assemble a machine that prints money for friends. Court documents recently released in a case brought by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana on behalf of medical professionals censored by social media show how it’s done. According to court filings in Missouri v. Biden, more than 50 Biden administration officials advised employees from social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to muzzle vaccine skeptics and critics of the administration’s vaccine policy. The documents show that Biden’s censorship campaign was an administration-wide effort, ranging from public health agencies such as Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Office of the Surgeon General to the departments of State and Treasury, as well as the White House itself. The social justice activists who staff social media platforms were generally eager to comply with the government’s demands to silence anyone who challenged the official COVID-19 vaccine script. But regardless, the fact is that the government has tremendous leverage over those platforms. Social media executives know that the government has the power to regulate their enterprises, which would destroy their financial models and drive them out of existence. The Biden administration’s censorship campaign is fundamentally about money. It’s a hustle. The so-called progressive faction of U.S. politics is nothing more than the enforcement arm of allied corporate interests that identify us as potential sources of their wealth. The Biden administration’s job is to help them extract it from us, so that corporations may in turn redirect that money into the progressive faction’s political campaigns. The key players in what amounts to a criminal conspiracy to defraud the American public are political activists and federal agencies, social media, and prestige press organizations. Propaganda legitimizes the conspiracy by concealing the true intent of their operations. For instance, according to Biden, “misinformation” about vaccines was “killing people.” But anyone with a shred of commonsense recognized early on that the vaccines were at best a failure—or else there would have been no need for booster shots. The danger posed by critics of vaccine mandates was rather that they threatened to dam Big Pharma’s cash flow. So Biden officials shut them up. Once you see how the vaccine hustle worked, you’ll recognize the same pattern in virtually all of the Biden administration’s signature initiatives. For instance, it shows why the FBI was tasked to spy on parents objecting to what public schools were teaching their children: Biden’s corporate allies are mining school children for wealth. Critical race theory (CRT) is a business. In fact, Attorney General Merrick Garland’s son-in-law Xan Tanner owns a company that pushes CRT into public school curricula. Same with trans ideology. In showcasing the wondrous joys of transgenderism, the schools move vulnerable children along the assembly line, processing them into sterilizing surgeries and life-long medications that are worth billions to the medical industry and Big Pharma. Without public schools, neither the CRT nor the trans industry is viable businesses, so Biden sent federal law enforcement authorities to prevent parents from standing between progressive donors and their money. It’s worth remembering that this corrupt confederation tying political operatives, federal bureaucracies, social media, and the press first combined forces in the war against Donald Trump and the American people. Russiagate started as a Hillary Clinton campaign smear job that facilitated the FBI’s illegal surveillance of the Trump circle. But then it became an instrument to destroy President Donald Trump. In spite of the propaganda pushed by the press and social media, the issue wasn’t that he was racist, transphobic, or corrupt, never mind a Russian spy. Trump simply threatened the oligarchy’s power and wealth at its source when he promised to decouple U.S. interests from those of the Chinese Communist Party. Eventually, the confederation succeeded in getting Trump out of the Oval Office by using the same tactics when it interfered in the 2020 election cycle. According to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the FBI implied reports of alleged Biden family corruption likely to affect voters was “Russian disinformation.” What the court filings from Missouri v. Biden make plain is that the censorship campaign is itself evidence of corruption at the highest levels of government. From Poland to Germany, Manny Drukier confronts his past and shares his experiences. Manny’s daughter, NTD’s “The Nation Speaks” host Cindy Drukier, and her husband, host of EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” Jan Jekielek, produced and are featured in the 2020 film. Jekielek said the couple hopes the film offers inspiration for the hard times facing many today. Manny’s Story Manny Drukier was 11 when the Nazis invaded Poland. Miraculously, he survived the Holocaust and arrived in New York City in December of 1946. There, he met and married his wife, Freda, after only 6 months of courtship. The couple settled in Toronto, where Manny became a successful entrepreneur, and where they raised their four children. Over the years, his wife said Manny did not speak much about what he had been through in World War II. “How can you talk about something that’s been so horrendous?” Manny said. “Out of Poland alone, 3 million people were exterminated. Altogether, 6 million Jews were sent to camps and never came out.” Manny, his mother and father, and his sister had all been sent to concentration camps. “You try to forget it, but you can never forget it.” How the Journey Began Manny’s journey to tell his story began when his son Gordon happened to see a Smithsonian article about Kloster Indersdorf, an orphanage that helped hundreds of displaced children after World War II. Gordon remembered that his father had been at Kloster Indersdorf. He sent the article link to his mother because he thought it might be interesting to her. As Freda scrolled through the old pictures in the article, she was surprised to recognize her husband. The Smithsonian article led the couple to German historian Anna Andlauer. Andlauer was locating children who had been at the orphanage after the war. She had been trying to find Manny for 9 years. When they finally connected with one another, Andlauer invited Manny to come back to the orphanage, which had since become a grade school, and share his story with a group of students. Manny’s wife felt it was time for him to talk about it, saying it would be good for him: “not [to] get it out of his system, but to share it.”Although he was hesitant at first, Manny decided to go on the journey, traveling to the place of his birth in Poland, and retracing his journey through World War II, ending in Germany. The Ghetto Manny’s childhood home was in Lodz, Poland. In early 1940, the Germans created a ghetto for the Jewish people in Lodz. Manny, along with his mother, father, and sister got out. The rest of his large extended family decided to stay. In Lodz, 160,000 Jews were forced into a small area. Horrendous living conditions in the ghetto killed many before they could be deported to death camps. Most of its residents did not come out alive. “Every now and then they would send out people who never came back,” Manny said. The film shows the family looking through lists of Jews who had been sent to death camps and coming across names of their family members. In 1944, the Nazis began liquidating the ghetto. The few remaining residents were sent to death camps. Manny and his family went to the next major town, Kielce, renting a flat and staying there for about nine months. However, when food got scarce, they moved to Staszow. They spent a year or two there, hiding in the basement of a burned-out house. In 1942, Staszow also became a ghetto, and they knew their days were numbered. Eventually, they were captured by the Nazis. Manny and his family were sent to a camp in Kielce where they were separated and placed in concentration camps. Captured Manny’s mother was sent to Auschwitz. Manny and his father were sent to Czestochowa, where they were forced to make munitions for the German army. He was about fourteen years old at the time. “You didn’t know if you were there for a month or a week or a year,” Manny recalled. “There was no such thing as a safe place. While all this was happening, you were hoping the war would end at some point. Well, the war didn’t end, so you had to find a way to stay alive.” Manny and his father were forced to labor at the camp for about two and a half years, before being sent further west to a camp in Buchenwald, Germany. “He wasn’t just in concentration camps, he was in some of the worst concentration camps. These places were designed, not just to kill you physically but to destroy your soul,” Jekielek, Manny’s son-in-law, noted. Manny’s Escape Due to overcrowding, Manny and his father were sent to a nearby camp in Flossberg, Germany. One day, prisoners were put on a death train headed for an extermination camp. Manny and his father were in different train cars. Periodically, the train would stop and they would remove the dead bodies from the train. Sadly, it was on this train that Manny’s father passed away. The remaining victims were given a single slice of bread every day on the train, and Manny decided he wasn’t just going to sit and starve to death—he was going to try to escape. Manny and a friend decided to take their only chance at escape—to jump when the train was moving. “I had the fellows push me out of the window because I didn’t have the strength to lift myself and get out.” After jumping from the train, Manny fell down an embankment, and his friend walked back to find him and pick him up. Manny and his friend walked to the first farm they could find and sleep inside a haystack. In the morning, they went to the next town, Indersdorf, where they found the children’s home. There they received three meals a day and a roof over their heads. Just a few days later, Germany surrendered and the war was over. Manny’s mother and sister also survived the Holocaust. The three were reunited in 1948. ‘Just Ordinary People, Exterminated’ The film journeys with the family as they visit Auschwitz, where Manny’s mother was sent. Over 1 million people were killed in Auschwitz, ninety percent of whom were Jewish. Manny’s daughter Cindy said she believes it’s good for people to connect to the Holocaust on an individual level to prevent it from happening again. The photos displayed of Auschwitz victims before their imprisonment are similar to photos every family has in their own home. The Jewish victims were normal people who did nothing wrong, yet were taken from their homes and forced to suffer so much. “Just ordinary people living their lives, and exterminated,” said Manny’s daughter Laurie. Manny’s Legacy Manny said that he believes “some people are born with optimism and some are born with pessimism. You just have to do the best you can with the circumstances.” His family said Manny never felt sorry for himself or treated himself as a victim. He focused the rest of his life on moving forward, rather than being burdened with the past. Jekielek observed that Manny could have had a sense of entitlement in life. “He lost his family, almost his whole history,” Jekielek said, yet he never acted as if the world owed him something. Manny ended his journey by telling his story to a group of students in Germany. “No matter what the circumstances, you gotta look at the bright side. Never get discouraged. Nothing is forever.” ‘Never Again’ Very few Holocaust survivors are alive to tell the story. During the filming of the documentary, Manny turned 90 years old. Andlauer said that it’s extremely important to tell their stories before they’re gone: the story of the Holocaust, how it started, how it ended, and what it meant to individual human beings. Manny’s daughters noted that oppression on this scale is not merely a historical event. It still happens in our world today, in places like China, where the eradication of religious minorities continues. Manny passed away on Jan. 10, 2022, at the age of 93. It is the hope of Manny’s family that through this EpochTV film, people will connect with the reality of the Holocaust and stand against the oppression of others. Commentary NTD productions present “Raid on America: A Special Documentary Report,” available on EpochTV. This episode follows NTD correspondent Paul Greaney as he examines the legalities of the recent FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home and whether or not the FBI is objective in its investigations. Trump Is Still a Major Political Threat With the midterm elections fast approaching, Trump’s endorsement in primaries across the nation suggests that the former president’s influence is still very strong, endorsing more than 200 Republican candidates and boasting a 92 percent win rate by mid-August. Director of Big Data Poll, Richard Baris, says that Trump’s endorsement is the most powerful endorsement in the history of modern American politics. Sebastian Gorka, a former strategist to Trump, says Republican candidates such as Rep. Liz Cheney losing their primaries signifies that the GOP is now comprised of “America first” voters. Political strategist Roger Stone believes Trump is more likely to run for president now than ever before. Amidst Trump’s evident political prowess, on Aug. 8, news broke that the FBI had raided Trump’s Florida home. The raid took place less than 100 days before critical elections and under the same political leadership that protected Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and is now protecting Hunter Biden. Was the raid a display that no one is above the law, or is the American Department of Justice being weaponized against the current administration’s political opponents and its own people? “If we can’t trust the people watching over us, who can we turn to?” Greaney asked. Was This an Objective Raid? The raid is reported to have to do with Trump possessing classified records and national defense information. Agents took eleven sets of documents with classified markings. However, every president maintains top security clearance, even after leaving office. “The idea that a former president somehow loses his ability to read classified materials is absurd,” said Gorka. Former Justice Department official Jeff Clark says that the FBI could have issued a subpoena to obtain what they wanted and that they did not need to resort to a search warrant. It is also true that in June, the FBI and the DOJ were at Trump’s house and that the former president was cooperating with them. The experts interviewed for the special report point out issues both in how broad the warrant is, as well as the way the FBI executed it. For example, according to a partner at Binnall Law Group, Jesse Binnall, the FBI took items not authorized by the search warrant, such as Trump’s passport. And then there is the issue of political bias from the judge who issued the warrant. Bruce Reinhart, a Democrat supporter, and Obama donor, had recently recused himself from a civil case involving Trump due to his bias. “I don’t understand how you could possibly feel that you needed to recuse yourself from a case like that because you might be biased against President Trump, but that you could issue a search warrant against him,” said Clark. “That doesn’t compute.” Greaney also questioned why this case wasn’t given to the most senior judge available, considering its importance. Why was Reinhart allowed to decide such a monumental political move right before the midterms, as well as how much, if anything, the public will know regarding evidence for approving the raid? This Is the Agency That Lied About Russiagate Gorka, who used to run a private company that trained the FBI’s counter-terrorism department, said he now distrusts the FBI and DOJ after Russiagate unfolded. Lee Smith is an investigative journalist and author of the book “The Plot Against the President” which chronicles how the Hillary Clinton campaign, intelligence community, and journalists acted together to try and bring down the then-incoming president by tying him to Russia. Smith said it is often forgotten that they were spying on the president, which has been confirmed by recent findings from the John Durham investigation. Former director of Cyber Security Policy with the Department of Defense John Mills said he was pressured at the time to assist in finalizing the Russia story, which could have potentially blocked or delayed the inauguration of Trump. Mills was stunned to be approached with such a request, saying he was reading the classified documents about the Russia story and knew there was not enough “meat” to it. Yet, the media ran with it anyways. “There was essentially nothing in the body of his very classified document that gave any evidence that Trump was a Russian asset. Yet, the executive summary was that Trump was a Russian asset and I was told to stand down,” said Mills, explaining that he was told the Secretary of Defense had already signed off because James Comey and John Brennan were personally writing the document. We now know those same individuals were aware at that time that the Russian story was fake. “Comey and Brennan were lying,” said Miller. The following $32 million investigation found no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia. Is the Government Persecuting Trump and His Supporters? The EpochTV documentary mentions a swath of Trump supporters and allies who also have been targets of FBI raids and investigations, such as Jeffrey Clark, the Trump-era DOJ official who has attempted to investigate allegations of election fraud, and whose house was raided. Gorka, despite having nothing to do with Jan. 6, not only had his phone records subpoenaed but also his wife and children’s. Peter Navarro was arrested with unnecessary force. Roger Stone, political consultant, and friend of Trump was raided by 29 fully SWAT-clad agents, a helicopter overhead, FBI boats, and assault weapons used to arrest a first-time, nonviolent suspect accused of lying to Congress. He said they had spoken to his attorneys the day before and the normal process would have been to tell his lawyers he was going to be charged and recommend he turn himself in, which he claims he would have. Once the FBI obtained Stone’s emails and texts, they found no evidence of what he was being accused of. “I gather the purpose of this was intimidation,” said Stone. All these events have created massive distrust in government and law enforcement among American citizens. When Americans see how notable Democrats like Hillary Clinton have broken the law and are being treated, in contrast to Trump or Jan. 6 peaceful protestors, it causes concern about the unequal application of the law. Is our government still of the people, by the people, and for the people? The people are supposed to run the government, not the other way around. However, a recent Rasmussen poll says that 64 percent of Americans believe there is a group of unelected bureaucrats in government pursuing their own interests and agendas rather than the policies of the elected president. Since Americans cannot vote the career bureaucrats out of the DOJ, FBI, or IRS, experts say this creates a lack of checks and balances. However, many believe that Donald Trump’s presidency changed that. Gorka said every chief executive, from Washington to Obama, was either retired military or a government official. Electing Trump rejected the political elite on both sides of the aisle, making him a massive threat to the vested interests of the ruling class. Gorka claims that Trump is not owned by anyone. Binnall says Trump stood up to the government bureaucracy, sending the message that he didn’t answer to them, but rather to the American people and the Constitution. His administration signified that the people do still have power in this country. Is Justice Actually Blind in Washington? If the judiciary and law enforcement even appear biased, they lose credibility. No matter what side of politics one is on, Americans should want the application of the law to be equal, instead of law enforcement being used to simply go after the ruling elite’s political opponents. The recent actions of the FBI send the message that anyone who doesn’t fall in line with the current administration is a target. Gorka, whose parents fled communist Hungary said “yes, I’ve seen this before, but I never thought I’d see it in America.” Six years of investigations into Trump and his supporters is enough to make people worried. Lee Smith predicts the FBI will most likely try to indict Trump. This won’t be difficult, according to Binnall, because the FBI knows they can find a jury in Washington full of the bureaucrats that Trump has stood up to who will be happy to convict him of anything. “It’s impossible to get a fair trial in this town,” says Binnall, noting that he is shocked but not surprised by what is happening, and that is what is scary—Americans aren’t surprised by the shocking abuses of the Constitution that have been allowed to happen all around them for so long now. Tell the Truth and Never Censor Your Beliefs Gorka says the solution is very simple: “Stand up for the truth, never never never censor yourself.” He believes that “one man telling the truth can lead to the collapse of a dictatorial regime. The part of the population that is in the mass formation and fanatically believes a narrative is what helps the elite seize control of society. This will eventually create and maintain a dictatorship different from what we’ve seen in Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union, which is called a totalitarian state. Totalitarianism can be avoided, according to the guest of this Crossroads episode, Mattias Desmet, a professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University in Belgium, and a practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Host Joshua Phillip and Desmet discuss the mechanism of mass formation, its connection with the totalitarian state, and the ways in which such a crisis can be avoided. Main Characteristics “Mass Formation is a specific kind of group formation which has very specific effects at the level of individual psychological functioning.” One major characteristic is that the individual loses the capacity to have critical distance on what the group believes in. It goes even further with people in the mass formation starting to believe the most absurd things. Desmet gives the example of an Iranian woman that lived there during the Revolution of 1979. She told him how people started to believe that Ayatollah – the former supreme leader of Iran – had his portrait printed on the surface of the moon. During the full moon people would stay out in the streets, pointing at the moon and showing each other where exactly they could see the portrait of Ayatollah. Another characteristic is that people become willing to sacrifice everything that used to be important for them before the mass formation started. This had been seen since ancient times, with the crusades and witch hunts, to the modern days of the French Revolution, or the mass formation of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. A third and very important characteristic is that people in the grip of a mass formation become radically intolerant of dissident voices. In the end stages, atrocities will be committed towards the people that do not go along with the masses, as if it were an ethical duty to do so. To exemplify how the end stage of a mass formation manifests, Desmet continues with another example from the Iranian Revolution, when a mother reported her son to the state. He was arrested and condemned to death. She put the rope around his neck when he was on the scaffold, and when the son was hung, she claimed to be a heroine for doing what she did. Desmet wrote his book, “The Psychology of Totalitarianism,” because he considers it crucial to understand the process of mass formation and its mechanism. If the correct analysis is made, one will know what actions to take. The people who do not go along with the masses will survive. If the wrong analysis is made and one goes along a wrong strategy, there’s a good chance one will be destroyed by the masses. Scientific Ideology and the Covid-19 Pandemic The recent crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic was the first time when a real, full-fledged phenomenon of mass formation emerged on a worldwide level for the first time in history. The essential characteristic of a real mass formation is the emerging of two new groups in society; the end group (a mass), and the out-group (people that do not go along with the mass). The new group formation is energetically so strong that it redistributes and reorganizes all preexisting social bonds. According to Desmet, Dr. Fauci and other experts that took the lead worldwide do not represent science, but a scientific ideology, which is exactly the opposite of science in many regards. He further details how science was originally an open-minded way to listen to the phenomenon of nature, by putting aside all dogma and prejudices. Because of its success and huge potential of control and manipulation of nature, science eventually changed from being the discourse of a minority going against a dominant discourse, to becoming the dominant discourse itself. That defines the moment when science lost its characteristics of open-mindedness and speaking the truth, and became an ideology. Desmet has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and statistics. According to his studies, up to 85 percent of the papers published in the medical sciences today are false or intentionally manipulated. He continues by pointing out that the so-called science during the Covid-19 pandemic had failed us, by not being science at all, but manipulative propaganda of global institutions that wanted to use the situation to coerce people to accept the ideological changes imposed on society. All this was done for the purpose of replacing a democratic society with a technocratic society. “The main weakness of our population is that in one way or another we’re not capable anymore of tolerating the idea that someday we might suffer, and that someday we will die.” Desmet encourages us to ask ourselves what type of society we wish to live in—a technocratic transhumanist society, in which people receive universal income, and they’re subjected to the social credit system that imposes all kinds of ‘treatments’, or a society in which there is a risk of dying, where nature might not be as friendly as we want, but in which we have freedom as human beings. He goes on to further explain the transhumanist philosophy that believes human beings can live eternally in a state of constant happiness. But technocracy actually won’t bring us safety, and it will not take away the risks. It is only enticing us with the illusion that one day we will be safe, we will not be sick anymore, and we will not suffer anymore. The eternal life and biochemically induced happiness brought forth by transhumanism are things that Desment would rather not have. Therefore, what is claimed to be science in our society is not the solution to the problems, but the cause of them. Desmet doesn’t want to say that he is against science, but that today its believed that rational understanding is the cornerstone of our human existence. To better explain this concept, he gave the following quotes from several major scientists. “This part of reality that can be rationally understood is very limited, and the rest of reality we can only understand by emphatically resonating with it,” René Thom. “When it comes to atoms, language can only be used as poetry. In the end, even the material world, elementary particles, material particles, behave in an irrational way. The essence of the behavior of elementary particles can never be grasped in a rational way,” Niels Bohr. “I spent my life studying material particles in the laboratory, and in the end I concluded that science arrives when religion once started, in an original, personal encounter with that what transcends every rational understanding,” Max Planck. These scientists came to the same conclusion, that rational understanding is important, but it is very limited, and it is only the first step in gathering knowledge. The essence of life always escapes rational understanding. Only by circling an object long enough until getting to the point of developing a resonating knowledge, will one arrive at a certain feeling for the eternal principles of the essence of that object. But even that knowledge will never be definitive. And it is that knowledge that will put one in contact with what Max Planck called God, or something that transcends all rational knowledge. The basis for humans living together, and for human existence, are ethical principles that are eternal and universal. Everyone needs to rediscover them or otherwise, they will become dogmas, and they can only be found at the end of the road of rationality, Desmet said. The New Kind of Totalitarianism and the Mechanism of Mass Formation The root cause of totalitarianism comes from the human illusion that everything in life can be controlled, rationally understood, and manipulated, and that we can create an artificial new universe and an artificial new human being that won’t suffer or die anymore. Desmet considers this kind of thinking will eventually destroy the essence of humanity and the essence of life. He further explains how we’ve seen fascist totalitarianism and communist totalitarianism, but what we are dealing with today is something that was predicted by Hannah Arendt in 1951. She said, “We’ve seen fascist and communist totalitarianism collapse, but we will see the emergence of a new kind of totalitarianism, and this totalitarianism will not be led by gang leaders such as Stalin and Hitler. It will be led by dull bureaucrats and technocrats. It will be a technocratic totalitarianism.” The people that believe that everything can be controlled in a rational way are the root cause of this new totalitarianism that disconnects us from our natural and social environment through many different psychological mechanisms. As a results, this makes the subjects feel lonely and turns them into atomized people, who will further suffer from a lack of meaning-making, anxiousness, frustration, and aggression without no apparent cause. This psychological condition is the perfect breeding ground for mass formation. Under these conditions, if a narrative that provides an object of anxiety and the strategy to deal with that object of anxiety are distributed, such as a virus that could be fought by lockdowns or mask-wearing, people will connect with the object of anxiety and start to follow that strategy. In this way, they will feel connected in a heroic battle and feel a new social bond. This is the mechanism of mass formation. This is only an illusion though because in a mass people are not connected to each other, but to the collective. Desmet further develops this principle, mentioning that solidarity in a mass formation is never between individuals. It’s solidarity between every individual separately and the collective, meaning that everyone demands from the other that he or she sacrifices all individual interests for the collective. The more the mass formation lasts, the more the energy is sucked away from the bonds between individuals, and it’s all invested in the bond between the individuals and the collective. When we start to understand this mechanism, that totalitarianism is based on mass formation, and that mass formation is a kind of hypnosis, we can also understand that it is the dissident voice that will disturb the mass formation. Desmet encourages us to always continue to speak out so that we can avoid repeating what happened in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It was a captivating conversation, as Desmet explained the psychological mechanisms unconsciously developed due to some emotions triggered when the connection with life and nature is broken. It was also a sharing of life experience, knowledge, and information that makes this episode very engaging for curious minds. It’s important during these times to stay rational and unaffected in order to make good decisions, and this episode gives some good points on exactly how to do that. Is the nitrogen issue used only as a pretext for getting farmers off of their land? Would the results of these implementations actually help nature? In late June, the ruling coalition in the Netherlands voted on a plan to cut pollutant emissions, especially nitrogen oxide and ammonia, in half by 2030. These proposals are targeting the nation’s agriculture industry, saying a lot of ammonia is produced through livestock waste. In response, farmers protested around the country, as many of them might have to face the prospect of closing their businesses. Facts Matter host, Roman Balmakov, went to the Netherlands to give a comprehensive report on the farmers’ situation. Driving through the country, the support shown to the farmers could be seen, similar to the trucker’s convoy in the U.S. The Dutch flag was flying upside down – a universal symbol for a country in distress – and many people tied a red handkerchief to their vehicle as a sign of solidarity. The first interviewee of this special report is Martin Neppelenbroek, a Dutch dairy farmer. Neppelenbroek’s farm is a 30-year-old business, with 70 hectares of land. Most of the milk from his farm is used for cheese production and yogurt. Through the new regulations, Neppelenbroek will have to reduce 95 percent of his cows, and because a farm can’t be run with only 5 percent, he will have to sell it. With the current situation, no one else, except the government, would be willing to buy it. According to him, this solution is only “on paper,” because the situation will not change. The same amount of cheese will be consumed, but the cows producing the milk will be from somewhere else. To learn more about the threat these nitrogen emissions pose to the environment if not cut, Roman’s next guest, Japp Hanekamp, a chemical scientist, mentioned that “damage” is actually an ambiguous term. What they found is that the “critical load” that would be considered damaging is hard to define, because of factors such as time frame, the type of damage, what is exactly debated, what experiments have been done, and many other questions. Hanekamp mentions two problems in regard to the “wildly strange process” of implementing critical loads into law without going through risk assessments. The first would be that the government already decided that the critical loads are damaging to nature, without specifying what is “too much nitrogen” to be considered a critical load. Secondly, any standard coming from science shouldn’t be implemented in society without a societal cost-benefit analysis. The critical loads mentioned by the new regulations haven’t been through such an analysis. Not going through this step means it can’t be known what results in it will bring, if the implementation of these regulations would actually be useful and maintainable, and how they would affect the entire food production and retail consumption system. According to Hanekamp, if all agriculture in Netherlands were to be banned, about three-quarters of the critical loads would still not be reached. There are people in the Dutch Parliament that are fighting against these standards. Thierry Baudet, leader of Forum for Democracy Party, said in an interview with Roman that these standards coming from the European Union have two main purposes in transnational governance; making Netherlands more dependent on international supply chains, and mass migration by taking the land from the people to build more houses. This would transform their country, which is already very densely populated, into a giant tristate city. Baudet further explains how farmers are people historically connected with their country, proudly passing their family farms down through the generations, and having a strong national identity. They are seen as a threat to the Great Reset agenda making people lose their autonomy and making them more dependent on the international rulers that are trying to take over. Farmers own 60 percent of the land in the Netherlands. I loved how the on-site reporting in this episode carried us straight into these people’s lives, where we were able to experience their beautiful green pastures, see how they raise livestock and view their lovely Dutch homes. The policies that are being pushed in the Netherlands are not any different from the Green New Deal that’s being pushed in America, which is another aspect showing us how we are all connected. This is why I am looking forward to seeing more episodes like this and observing the process of these new regulations being implemented all around Europe. Commentary A Special Report by Joshua Philipp on EpochTV sheds light on the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s home on the morning of Aug. 8, 2022. The event calls into question the Biden Administration’s potential weaponization of the government against political opponents and the status of freedom and rule of law in this nation. Christina Bobb, attorney for Trump, said the FBI wouldn’t allow her or anyone else to accompany on their search of Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s home. When the search warrant was eventually unsealed, it revealed that the FBI was investigating Trump for potentially violating three U.S laws, including the Espionage Act. The laws in question relate to the concealment, removal, or mutilation of public records; gathering, transmitting, or losing defense information, and the destruction, falsification, or alteration of records in federal investigations. The FBI took several sets of documents from Trump’s home. However, according to Trump, all of these documents were already declassified before he left office. This means the FBI could have had access to those documents any time they wanted, without raiding Mar-a-Lago. Trump even had the documents locked and secure in the way they had requested. Kash Patel, attorney and former chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense in the Trump Administration, explains that, at the end of Trump’s term, the president declassified a swath of documents that he felt the American people should know about or have access to. Those documents ended up being archived for some reason, not following his order to declassify them. The National Archives wouldn’t allow Patel to see the documents at the time, giving him what he described as a bureaucratic runaround. Patel notes that a search warrant was completely uncalled for, not to mention one with swat teams, saying they could have simply subpoenaed anything they needed. Bobb points out that shrouding this issue as “national security” allows the FBI to conceal what they were doing, which aids in their facade that Trump did something wrong. In his statement on Aug. 8, Trump asked, “what is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.” Watergate was the historical event in which federal agents broke into the DNC headquarters. Later findings revealed involvement with the FBI, CIA, and the IRS. Allegedly, these efforts were tied to Richard Nixon, who used the raid to win his election. This led to an impeachment trial and eventually Nixon’s resignation from office. Kash Patel says that if the facts play out, people will be held accountable, just as they were during Watergate, calling it egregious and a gross violation of the law by the highest levels of the FBI, DOJ, and White House. However, in Watergate, those involved snuck in and supposedly stole a few documents. In the raid on Trump’s home, the FBI made a massive show of it for the world to see. Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert compared the FBI raid to how politics works in foreign regimes, where dictators such as Putin, Maduro, and Castro, among others, use their forces to go after their political opponents. “It is an entirely new thing for this Constitutional Republic and it really does put our Republic in grave danger. It may be irreparable harm.” Watch the full documentary here. Potential violation of the law from the Biden administration aside, there are also possible conflicts of interests tied to the raid. One concerning tie is the judge who signed the warrant to raid Trump’s home, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida, Bruce Reinhart. Only weeks before signing off on the raid, this same judge recused himself from Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, saying he couldn’t be impartial with a case regarding Donald Trump. Should Americans be concerned that the FBI went to a judge who openly had trouble being impartial towards a target of their investigation, who represents a direct challenge to the political party in power? It’s crucial to note that Trump had been cooperative with the FBI and the DOJ for months preceding the raid, inviting the FBI to Mar-a-Lago and showing them whatever they wanted. Nothing had been hidden or kept secret, making it less understandable why they went to such drastic measures. Although Attorney General Merrick Garland has openly supported the raid, he has given little reason as to why it was necessary. In the Russian Collusion Hoax, the facts now reveal how people were investigated unlawfully despite them not having done anything that warranted an investigation. This approach is seemingly becoming normalized within the Democratic Party. Kash says that in his time working in the Department of Justice if they ever were to bring a prosecution related to a political target, they would not bring it around an election cycle. “That has been the mandate at the Department of Justice for as long as I can remember. It’s consistently touted as the reason for why the Hunter Biden criminal probe has not reached an indictment.” The closeness of elections has been used to try and keep John Durham in check over this past summer and was applied to Hillary Clinton as well. James Comey himself said, despite Hillary deleting and destroying evidence, he wasn’t going to investigate and interfere with a political candidate. “Apparently, that mandate has been thrown out by this Attorney General,” Patel says. “There is not equal application of the law anymore—it’s gone.” Unelected bureaucrats have overtaken the American intelligence community and seemingly, the rule of law, weaponizing government against concerned parents, peaceful protestors, and most of all, Donald Trump and his allies. Members of the Freedom Caucus or any prominent person who has stood by Trump have become a target. The special report interviews multiple individuals who have been or are currently being targeted by the DOJ due to their politics aligning with Trump. Certainly, no one should be above the law, however, the unequal application of the law certainly sheds doubt on the legitimacy and the intent of these events. Many Americans are concerned that the government is now operating under a dual justice system, where liberals are treated one way and conservatives are treated another. The weaponization of government to destroy political opponents while protecting political allies is becoming all too familiar in a supposedly free nation. Donald Trump was not a career politician, nevertheless, he has generated a massive movement that seriously threatens the power of the current globalist political elite. Many Republican legislators are vowing to investigate and hold accountable the people behind the political persecution of Donald Trump and his supporters. If these totalitarian-style tactics are allowed to continue with no consequences, will America cease to exist as the free nation we pride ourselves to be? Can the American people reclaim their voice and vote honest candidates into office who will rid the government of corruption and restore the constitutional rule of law to our government agencies?
